What you get

- MP3: a smaller file that plays almost anywhere. Best for phones and saving space.
Files are named after the artist and the title, so they are easy to find later.
How to download
On a computer
- Sign in and open your library.
- Find the sound and choose download.
- Pick WAV or MP3. The file saves to your downloads folder.
On a phone
- Open your library in your phone's browser.
- Choose download and pick MP3 or WAV.
- On iPhone, the file is saved in the Files app. On Android, it is usually in your Downloads folder.
Listening offline
Downloaded files play without an internet connection, which is handy for flights, travel or a phone in airplane mode at night. You can also stream any purchase from your library, with a sleep timer and loop built into the player.
Which apps play the files
MP3 files play in practically every music app and media player. WAV files play in most desktop players, such as the built-in apps on Windows and macOS or VLC, and in many mobile players. If a phone app will not open a WAV file, use the MP3 instead.

Why not just rip YouTube?
Converter sites that rip audio from YouTube often come with intrusive ads, misleading download buttons and the risk of malware. The audio is usually compressed again, so it sounds worse. It also goes against YouTube's terms and usually the artist's copyright, and the artist earns nothing from it. Buying the full-length file directly supports the person who recorded it.
