This guide walks you through opening a shop on ASMR Market and selling your recordings. It is practical rather than legal. The rules that apply to all content are in the community guidelines, and the legal terms are in the creator agreement.
Set up your shop
Start at Studio setup. You will:
- Claim your handle. Your shop lives at asmrmarket.com/@yourname.
- Add a shop name, a short bio, an avatar and a banner.
- Connect payouts through Stripe so you can be paid.
- Choose a plan. You can start on Starter for free and switch later.
You must be at least 18 to sell.
Recording tips
- Find a quiet room. Turn off fans, fridges and notifications. Soft furnishings like curtains and blankets reduce echo.
- Know your mic. Get close enough for detail, but not so close that breaths and plosives take over. A pop filter or foam windscreen helps.
- Keep levels consistent. Listeners set their volume once and fall asleep. Avoid big jumps in loudness between sections.
- Avoid clipping. Leave headroom while recording. A clipped peak cannot be fixed later.
- Check on headphones. Most people listen on headphones or earbuds. Listen through the whole recording before uploading to catch noise, clicks and sudden sounds.
Uploading
Upload the best master you have, ideally a lossless WAV file. Buyers can download WAV and MP3 versions from their library.
- We automatically create a 60 second preview and a waveform for each sound.
- Add a calm, SFW cover that represents the sound honestly.
- Write a clear title and a description that says what listeners will hear.
Your first 3 items are reviewed manually before they go live. After that, new items are published straight away and spot checked.
Tagging
Good tags help the right listeners find you, and honest tags keep their trust.
- Triggers: choose up to 5 that are really in the recording.
- Voice: whisper, soft spoken or no talking.
- Length: shown automatically from the file.
- Sudden sounds: required whenever the recording has sudden or loud moments.
- Sleep-safe: only if there are no sudden or loud sounds at all.
- Loopable: if the end flows smoothly back into the start.
Pricing
You set your own prices. A few things to consider:
- Look at what similar sounds sell for in Explore.
- Longer, more involved recordings can carry a higher price than short ones.
- Bundles let listeners collect several sounds at once.
- You can offer up to 3 free sounds. They appear on free ASMR and help new listeners discover you.
- On Pro you can offer the Creator licence, and on Studio the Commercial licence. They are priced at 3× and 10× your base price. See the licensing terms.
Plans and fees
- Starter: free, 20% fee, up to 20 live sounds.
- Pro: $7 a month, 10% fee, unlimited sounds, Circle memberships and the Creator licence.
- Studio: $19 a month, 7% fee, everything in Pro plus the Commercial licence.

Setting up a Circle
A Circle is a monthly membership for your biggest fans. You set the monthly price and decide what members get. Members can stream your catalogue, receive members-only releases, hear new releases 3 days early and get 10% off sounds they buy to keep. Post regularly so members feel the membership is worth keeping. Members can cancel at any time.
Getting verified
The Verified human badge tells listeners a real person made your work. To earn it, complete the ID check and upload a short behind-the-scenes clip of you recording. The clip is used for verification only and is deleted after review.
Payouts
ASMR Market sells your work in its own name and pays you a royalty from every sale. Payouts go to your bank account through Stripe. Each royalty is held for 14 days to cover refunds, and you are paid once your available balance reaches $20. Royalties from refunded sales are reversed.
Promoting with your own link
Share your shop link in your bio, video descriptions and posts. Sales that come through your own link carry a 5% fee on every plan, so promoting your shop yourself pays off.
